About Us
TreorchyTown.co.uk was established in 2011 as part of RCT’s Town Centre Regeneration Programme with the objective of raising visitors’ awareness of the diversity of independent retailers and businesses.
Following ‘kick start’ funding by the RCT the private sector has sponsored management of the website since 2013 and continues to promote Treorchy shops and businesses free of charge on the website and social media.
Treorchy has one of the most diverse and active high streets in the Rhondda Valleys with more than 100 businesses located along a 400 m length of Bute Street and High Street.
Businesses already enjoy strong support from the local community and the website aims to attract more visitors from further afield for a traditional shopping and social experience.
